How to Choose Genuine Pineapple

The fresh farm ripe fruits will be golden yellow in colour. When sliced, the pulp will also be golden yellow in colour. If the pineapple fruit is fresh, the crown and eyes will be without wilting or drying. The fruit peduncle will be fresh without any shrivelling or too much of drying in the cut end. Highly over ripen and damaged fruit may have a fermented odour. There should not be any scratches, bruises or cuts on fruit.
